Upon your arrival at the Marrakech airport, you will be greeted by the friendly team at Deep South Travel who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. You can enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on a journey to discover the heart of Marrakech, also known as "the red city of Morocco". Our knowledgeable local guide will take you to visit significant cultural and historical landmarks such as the Saadian tombs, El Bahia Palace, El Badii Palace, and Ben Youssef Koranic School. A traditional lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the new city. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the stunning gardens of Majorelle and Menara, as well as the iconic Koutoubia Tower. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Following breakfast at your hotel, we'll embark on a scenic drive to the Dades Gorges. Our route will take us across the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N'tichka pass, the highest road pass in Morocco, where we'll stop at various viewpoints to capture the stunning panoramas on camera. During our journey, we'll also visit the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, an ancient fortress from the 16th century, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll have lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Ouarzazate, also known as the African Hollywood, where we'll visit the Atlas Studio of cinema. Then, we'll travel through the Rose Valley and the famous way of 1000 Kasbahs. We'll spend the night and have dinner at the Dades Valley, in the Upper Gorges.
Following breakfast, we will proceed towards Todra Gorges, also known as the Grand Moroccan canyon, which is famous for rock climbing at its rock walls that stand tall up to 300m in a narrow part. Here, you can enjoy a walk and embrace the essence of nature in the lush green agricultural lands and the flowing river. Afterward, we will continue towards Erfoud, renowned for its fossilized marbles, where you can visit a workshop that produces Marble Fossils. We will reach Merzouga in the evening, where you will be greeted with a warm cup of tea and a comfortable room to prepare for an excellent night in the nomad desert camp. You can indulge in a 90-minute camel ride that takes you across the highest sand dunes in North Africa, all while enjoying the picturesque view of the sunset until you arrive at the Bivouac. You will have a private tent that is well-equipped with comfortable mattresses, blankets, cushions, and toilets. Later, relish a scrumptious Moroccan dinner, and gather around the campfire to enjoy typical Berber music played using drums while admiring the starry sky above.
Rise and shine early to catch the magnificent sunrise over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to the hotel. After a filling Moroccan breakfast and refreshing shower, we'll embark on a journey to Ziz Valley, where we'll pause for you to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of Ziz palm oasis and Ziz Gorges. We'll break for lunch in Midelt, and then proceed to Azrou, passing through the Middle Atlas mountains and its cedar forest where you can feed the wild monkeys. Rest for a while in Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco," before continuing to Fes. We'll arrive in Fes in the evening for an overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.
Following breakfast at your hotel, you will begin exploring the Fes medina (founded in the 8th century by Moulay Driss II) with a local tour guide. During your visit, you will see several interesting sites, including the Royal palace gate, the Jewish quarter (built in the 16th century and considered the first Mellah in Morocco), Al Qarawiyin (the world's oldest university), the Tanneries, and Moulay Driss mausoleum. After lunch, we will travel to Chefchaouen via Meknes, where you will have the opportunity to see the famous Bab Mansour gate, the Sahrij Souani, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismael. In Chefchaouen, also known as the 'Blue Town,' you will experience vibrant local life and see various shops and examples of Andalusian architecture in the new town. Don't miss the charming park at the end of Avenida Mohammed V.
Following your breakfast, we will collect you from the hotel to embark on an adventure in the enchanting city of Chefchaouen, famous for its unique whitewashed walls adorned with blue doors and windows. Unlike many other cities in Morocco, this city has a significant Spanish influence evident in its architecture and culture. After exploring the city, we will transport you directly to Tangier and drop you off at your hotel.
Once you've finished breakfast at your hotel, we'll take you to see the stunning panoramic views of the coastal sea and the cave of Hercules. Then, we'll continue our journey to Rabat, passing through Asilah on the way. Asilah is a medieval Moorish marvel, featuring a magnificent minaret that was left unfinished after its founder passed away in 1199, as well as the Chellah necropolis and Kasbah Oudaya. You'll spend the night at the hotel in Rabat.
After enjoying breakfast, we will begin our historical tour by visiting the Kingdom Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V (the grandfather and father of the current king), the Hassan Mosque (a marvel of medieval Moorish architecture with an unfinished minaret due to the founder's death in 1199), the Chellah Necropolis, and Kasbah Oudaya. We will then travel to Casablanca where you can enjoy a lunch before visiting the Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, Mohammed V Place, United Nations Place, Law Court, Prefecture, and Central Post Office. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech and spend the night at the hotel after having dinner.
