On the initial day of your adventure, we shall rendezvous with you at the airport or port and embark on a scenic drive through the Rif mountains and Tetouan town, marveling at the picturesque mountain landscapes, until we finally arrive at the striking village of Chefchaouen nestled at the base of the Rif mountains. The Chefchaouen medina features a square designed in the Spanish style, encircled by an array of groovy arts and crafts shops, rooftop eateries, and cafes. We shall conclude the day with dinner and overnight accommodation in Chefchaouen.
Starting from our riad after a delicious breakfast, we will begin our authentic adventure towards Volubilis, passing through picturesque Rif villages like Wazan. Our destination is the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where we will immerse ourselves in the rich history and archeological wonders of this ancient site. Next, we'll make our way to the 17th-century stronghold of Meknes for lunch and exploration of its many attractions, including the grand medina walls, the impressive Bab Mansour Gate, and the Moulay Ismail mausoleum. Following our visit to Meknes, we'll drive straight to Fes for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on an exploration of Morocco's oldest city, wandering through its maze-like alleys and narrow streets. Our tour begins with a visit to the gate of the Royal Palace, followed by a trip to EL-Mellah, the first Mellah built in Morocco during the 16th century. We will make sure to take you to all the cultural and historically significant sites, including the renowned Al-Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region; the tanneries; the Attarine museum; and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. Following lunch, you will visit a tile cooperative and experience a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Fes Medina. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided in Fes.
Following breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a journey to Merzouga through Erfoud and Errachidia. As we make our way through the Tizi-N-talghamt mountain pass and the Ziz Gorge, you will witness the transformation of the landscape, with glimpses of the desert becoming more apparent as we approach Errachidia. After stopping for a delicious lunch and experiencing the warm hospitality of the Berber people, we will continue our journey along the lush Ziz Valley, pausing to take in breathtaking panoramic views en route to Rissani and Erfoud. Our arrival in Merzouga will be in the afternoon, where we will be greeted with refreshing glasses of mint tea and checked into the hotel.

After having breakfast at the hotel, take some time to explore the local area before embarking on the camel ride. Visit the Gnawa people's village of Khamlia to learn about their unique music and lifestyle that has roots in Mali, Senegal, and Sudan. Then, we'll venture into the desert region to visit nomad families and experience their way of life. Enjoy a traditional Berber meal of stuffed pizza for lunch. If you're interested, you can also visit the historic city of Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty that currently rules Morocco. Rissani boasts around 360 fortified villages with many towers and holds a large souk (open market) three times a week. Once a meeting place for salt caravans heading to Tombouctou in Mali, the souk now sells spices, vegetables, and clothes. Return to the village of Merzouga in the afternoon to begin a guided camel ride through the hidden sides of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the luxury camp.
In Merzouga, you will wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara desert dunes. After sunrise, we will return to our guesthouse for breakfast and a refreshing shower. Then, we will embark on a journey through Rissani and Erfoud, towards Todgha Gorge, where we will be captivated by the unique rock formations and stunning landscapes while having a delicious Moroccan lunch. We will also take a brief walk through the gorge before continuing our journey to Dades Valley, where we will spend the night and enjoy dinner.
After having breakfast, we will embark on a journey through the picturesque Dades Valley, passing through Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazate. As we travel through the Route of One Thousand Kasbahs, there will be plenty of opportunities to capture some of the most stunning photos of the trip. We will stop for lunch at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and was built by T- hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains in the early 20th century. It used to be one of his stops on his long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech. Today, it is a UNESCO world heritage site. After lunch, we will make our way through the High Atlas Mountains, which are full of panoramic views and charming Berber villages all along the way to Marrakech. We will spend the night at a hotel in Marrakech and have dinner there.
On the eighth day, we'll take a guided tour of Marrakech after breakfast at the hotel. Known as "the Red City of Morocco," we'll make sure to visit the most significant historical and cultural sites, such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace. For lunch, we'll dine at a nearby restaurant before strolling through the souks and admiring the vast array of handicrafts. You'll have some free time in the afternoon to explore other parts of the city on your own. We'll conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Marrakech.
Once you have had breakfast at the hotel, you will begin a journey toward the coastal city of Essaouira, which is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive away. Upon arrival, you will explore the city, including a visit to the Skala Fortress and a chance to witness the skilled artisans who carve Thuya wood. You will also stroll through the medina’s alleyways, where you will see countless handicrafts. Essaouira, known as the "City of the Wind," is a popular spot for surfers from around the globe. Due to its size and distinctive blue doors and washed walls, it is also known as the "Jewel of the Atlantic." While there, you will visit the women's cooperative of Argan oil, where they extract the famous oil renowned for its culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal benefits. At lunchtime, you will have fresh fish prepared to order at a local restaurant, Moroccan-style. In the afternoon, you will return to Marrakech. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at the hotel in Marrakech.
