At 8:00 a.m. sharp, we will come to collect you from Marrakesh and proceed towards Ouarzazate, taking the Tizi n' Tichka pass that elevates to 2260 m over the High Atlas Mountains. As we journey on, we are certain that you will relish the breathtaking landscapes and charming Berber villages. As part of our itinerary, we will make a stop at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is the largest kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You might recognize this famous kasbah as it has served as a backdrop for more than 20 films. After lunch at the Kasbah, we'll continue to the Dades Valley via Ouarzazate, a city often referred to as the "Hollywood of Africa." En route, we'll traverse the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before reaching Kelâat M'Gouna, renowned for its multitude of kasbahs, and the annual Rose Festival held in May. Our accommodation for the night will be at a local guesthouse nestled in the heart of the Dades Gorges, where we'll relish a sumptuous dinner (and breakfast for the next day).
Following a morning meal at a nearby guesthouse, we'll take you on a scenic drive through the valley to witness the impressive "monkey's toes" rock formation. As we leave the Dades Valley and head towards Tinghir and the Todra valley, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of ancient Berber mud villages perched above the valley. Upon arriving at the Gorges, you'll have an unforgettable opportunity to stroll beneath the towering 300-meter red cliff, a favorite spot for rock-climbers. Afterward, we'll journey to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch before setting off for Merzouga village. Along the way, a seasoned camel guide will accompany you on a delightful camel ride to the stunning Erg-Chebbi dunes. After an hour and a half, you'll reach the highest sand dunes in Morocco, where you'll witness one of the most awe-inspiring sunsets. Finally, we'll proceed to the campsite in the heart of the Sahara Desert, where you'll savor a delicious dinner, cozy up to a warm campfire, enjoy a drum party, and spend the night under the stars.
As the sun rises over the Sahara Desert, your camel guide will awaken you for a breathtaking sight. You'll then embark on a camel trek to Merzouga village to marvel at the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes, which dramatically shift in color with the changing daylight. Upon returning to Merzouga, you'll enjoy a hot shower and breakfast at the guesthouse before we hit the road to Fez via Errachidia. The journey will take us through the stunning Ziz Gorges and the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt, where we'll make a stop in Zaida for a barbecue and to bask in the region's natural beauty. After sipping on a refreshing glass of mint tea, we'll head to Azrou, a Berber village nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains, to see the local Berber monkeys in the Cedar forest. Our next stop will be Ifrane, also known as "Moroccan Switzerland," where we'll pause for some unforgettable photos before reaching your accommodation in Fez. There, you'll be treated to a delectable dinner and provided with breakfast for the following day.
Once you finish your morning meal, you'll delve into the spiritual capital of Morocco, Fez. The entire morning will be dedicated to exploring the old city and its winding alleys, where you'll visit numerous cultural and historical sites. Of these, the most significant is the renowned Al- Qarawiyyin Mosque, which is among the oldest and most famous mosques in the Kingdom of Morocco and one of the city's most notable tourist destinations. Following a scrumptious lunch, we'll lead you just beyond the Medina to view the royal palace gate. Then, we'll take a leisurely stroll through the "Mallah" Jewish Quarter and visit the renowned pottery cooperative that Fez is renowned for. Later in the afternoon, we'll whisk you away to one of the castles to witness a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes. Once the tour concludes, you'll spend the night at your Fez accommodation.
Once you've enjoyed your breakfast, we'll start our journey from Fez to Chefchaouen via Wazzan, known as Morocco's "blue pearl." Along the way, we'll make several stops to allow you to bask in the breathtaking scenery. When we arrive in Chefchaouen, you'll have ample free time to discover the city's extraordinary and unmatched charm.
