Program details :

1 DAY 1 : Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your adventure in the Moroccan Sahara begins early in the morning, with a journey that starts from the city of Marrakech. On the way, you will pass through several villages and suburbs where you will come closer and closer to the Atlas Mountains. Several breaks are planned to give you the chance to rest, drink a coffee and take many pictures. Then, you will cross the famous Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and its fortified heritage. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has been the main setting for several Hollywood films including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Indiana Jones, The Mummy, and Kingdom of Heavens… and the list goes on. You will have free time to explore the area and have lunch at a local restaurant. You will have the option of hiring a local guide if you wish. Then you will continue to the Dades Valley, Ouarzazate, the oasis of Skoura, Kelaa Mgouna where the artisanal distillation of rose water is done… You will cross Boumalne Dades with the Kasbahs on its way and you will continue towards the canyons of Dades where you will find your hotel to spend your first night.

2 DAY 2 : Dades Valley – Todgha gorges – Rissani – Merzouga

Your adventure will continue for the second day after having breakfast in the Dades Valley. Then you will take the road to cross the path of the 1001 Kasbahs until you reach the oasis of Tinghir or you will deviate your path to go to Todgha. A break is planned for a walk in the oasis before continuing to the Todgha Gorge. You will enjoy free time to admire the beauty of the landscapes that surround you, and to have a drink in a local cafe. Afterwards, you will take the road to Rissani, which is famous for its date market, before continuing directly to Merzouga. Once arrived, you will go hiking to admire the sunset at the top of the dunes. You will also ride a camel for a beautiful desert ride in the Moroccan Sahara. Once you arrive at the nomadic camp, you will enjoy a good dinner, enjoy the musical and folkloric atmosphere and marvel at the beauty of the starry sky.

3 DAY 3 : Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

For your third day, you will still go on a camel ride to admire the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will return to the hotel for a quick shower, breakfast and a free time break. Your driver will join you for a return to Ouarzazate where you will have lunch. Then you will continue to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains.
